Savory Sausage Hashbrown Bites for Any Occasion

Crispy on the outside and savory on the inside, Sausage Hashbrown Bites make a delightful appetizer for gatherings or a cozy family brunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 2 cups frozen hashbrowns thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil for greasing

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked sausage, thawed hashbrowns, shredded cheddar cheese, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until evenly combined.
  • Grease a baking sheet with cooking oil or line it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • Using a tablespoon, scoop the mixture and form small, compact bite-sized clusters on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  • Remove the bites from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes before serving.
